Shiba Cake is a small boutique bakery that features handmade cakes and light French-inspired pastries. With a Shiba Inu as its brand icon, the space is designed to embody a warm, approachable, and trustworthy character that resonates with the brand personality.
The design intentionally avoids overly themed or cartoonish expressions. Instead, it emphasizes material tactility, light composition, and spatial rhythm to create a restrained yet friendly ambiance. The Shiba Inu icon appears subtly in signage and packaging, acting more as a visual whisper than a central motif
The material palette centers on marine plywood and aluminum, creating a dynamic contrast between warmth and precision. The plywood introduces natural texture and a handcrafted feel, while the aluminum lends structure, reflection, and technical clarity.
Shiba Cake rejects surface-level sweetness and instead opts for a restrained design language and a precise material strategy to deliver a space that is both memorable and emotionally resonant.
