This project is located in a prestigious residential neighborhood in Arcadia, California, known for its lush greenery, wide streets, and excellent privacy. The area is renowned for top-tier educational resources and scenic surroundings, situated close to Santa Anita Park and the Angeles National Forest. It benefits from abundant natural light and exceptional ventilation conditions.
We were commissioned to provide the full interior design for this single-story residence. The home includes two master suites, two guest bedrooms, a dining and kitchen area, and various auxiliary spaces. Guided by the concept that “life is art,” the design merges functionality with artistry to create a refined yet relaxed living experience.
The spatial layout emphasizes flow, with a semi-open dining area that encourages interaction while subtly defining zones through material and furniture transitions. The two master suites are positioned at opposite ends of the house for maximum privacy, each featuring a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. The guest bedrooms offer a warm, inviting atmosphere suitable for long-term stays by family or visitors.
The master bedroom is designed as a serene, private retreat with a strong sense of ritual. Reflecting the homeowner’s high standards for comfort and quality, the space serves as a daily escape from the outside world.
Spacious and suite-like in layout, it includes an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet. The headboard wall combines custom wood paneling with soft upholstery, creating a refined visual focal point and a warm atmosphere for rest. Furnishings and bedding are sourced from Italian brands, subtly exuding sophistication.
The tea room is tucked away in a tranquil corner of the home, inviting nature indoors with shifting light and seasonal views. Its layout follows the Eastern philosophy of "less is more," with a minimalist design that embraces simplicity and quiet elegance.
The overall color scheme features soft off-white and deep wood tones, accented with stone and metal details, creating a modern yet warm atmosphere. Custom wood panels and imported leather on the walls, along with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, allow natural light to flood the space, enhancing its openness and depth.
